3. What is Mr. Hunham’s initial idea for the Holdovers during the holidays?
He plans to force them practice a lot of sports in the cold weather.
He sees the holidays as an opportunity to take the holdovers to Boston on a school trip.
He intends to assign them a significant portion of new reading material.
Correct! Hunham apparently has no compassion for his students and will make them study hard during the break.
4. Why did Angus help Paul lie to his former Harvard classmate in Boston?
He couldn’t resist the chance to avenge all the moments Mr. Hunham made him feel bad in class.
Angus wanted to embarass Mr. Hunham, since the classmate looked like a nice and polite guy.
He realized that the teacher was embarrassed by the life he was living, and didn’t want to say the truth.

5. Why was Mr. Hunham fired?
Mr. Hunham was happy to take the blame for Angus’s idea to visit New York.
