Wonka is determined to produce best chocolate in the planet using only ingredients found in the zoo.
Wonka dreams of opening a chocolate shop in the city and join the chocolate cartel.
Wonka is willing to make affordable, memorable chocolate for everybody.
Correct! He wants everybody to feel what he felt when his mom prepared chocolate for him.
2. How does Willy end up in debt with Mrs. Scrubitt?
Because Wonka was lazy to read the contract.
Because Wonka decided not to trust Bleacher.
Because Wonka is illiterate.
Correct! Since he is illiterate, Willy couldn’t read the small print – as Noodle avised him.
3. How does the Cartel stop Willy from selling chocolate in the city?
Mr. Slugworth offered a few chocolate bars to the Chief-of-Police so he can keep Wonka locked up in jail.
They offered Bleacher some chocolate to force Wonka to leave town.
The Cartel bribed the sweet-toothed Chief of Police.
The Cartel did that by providing him with his own supply of chocolates, inducing him to force Wonka to leave town.
4. Why is the Oompa-Loompa named Lofty following and stealing from Willy?
Lofty is simply in love with Willy’s chocolate but doesn’t have enough funds to buy it.
Lofty is trying to befriend Willy but he doesn’t know how.
Lofty is trying to make Willy pay for something he did.
Nice! The Oompa Loompas seek retribution for the cocoa beans Wonka originally stole from Loompaland under Lofty’s watch.
5. Why do Noodle and Willy bond so strongly?
They had similar personalities and were in the same situation, what makes it super easy to relate to each other.
They had similar personalities but lived in different situations. They were both optimistic, but Noodle situation was much better than Willy’s.
Both were in the same situation but with different personalities. Willy was super opmistic while Noodle was more skeptical about leaving the place they were in.
Correct! Both, alone in the world, bond as Wonka’s infectious optimism meets Noodle’s skepticism about life, hopes and dreams.
